The following are a selection of works I created during an 6 month residency at Fifth Street Studio. The residency included teaching classes and workshops, curating a group show with the theme of my choosing (called LIMINAL), and an artist talk at the end.
Memory Tapestries
Memory is ever-fleeting, just as the sounds of a chime rustled by the wind—but there is beauty in the rhythm of what’s left.
Each ceramic piece is burnished and these sculptured are meant to be touched to toggle their tinkling, soothing sounds.

Shadow Houses
Shadow Houses explores the inevitable decay of the structures on which we rely. Each installment plays with different styles of construction. Modern architecture is not built to last, and it surely won’t. These are the images of a vessel in future transition, a necessary shelter devoid of its use and its inhabitants, vulnerable to time. If we are around to see them, these images will dominate our future landscapes.

Selected Functional ware
In my functional work, I like to explore the how texture affects the ways we use an item, contrasts between light and dark, and geometry. I use a combination of wheelthrowing and handbuilding.
